AUGUST 4, 2010
President Larry Puls called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM at
American Legion Post #2 with 13 members present and 2 guests (Mike
Wickham and Wally Williams).
Secretary Lynn Fehr read the minutes of the July 7, 2010 meeting. A
motion was made to accept the minutes as read. Seconded and carried.
Treasurer Dale Parker gave the Treasurer’s
Report. A motion was made to accept the Treasurer’s Report as read.
Seconded and carried. Dale stated that he purchased a jack for the
tractor maintenance and paid $31.50 for it.
OLD BUSINESS
Vice President Adam Shelburg stated he had been to the field and it
was in good shape.
NEW BUSINESS
Dean Dingman gave an update on the Dawn Patrol Fun Fly scheduled for
September 18 – 19, 2010.
Dean Dingman introduced our guest speaker Thomas Crean with a little
background history. Tom wrote a book on the German Pilot Werner
Voss. He gave a report on his life and history in early aviation.
Tom’s book will be off the press soon. The name of the book is
“Pilots of Jasta 10” and it has 400 + pages. The book has many
pictures, some 1st time to be published.
With no further business a motion was made to adjourn at 8:28 PM.

SHOW AND TELL
Terry Lamb brought his 1/3 scale Fokker Triplane. It weighs 45
pounds and is powered with a DA 100 4 cycle engine.
