May 4, 2011
In the absence of President Larry Puls, Vice President Adam Shelburg
called the meeting to order at 7:08 PM at Golden Corral Restaurant
with members present.
Secretary Lynn Fehr read the minutes of the
April 6, 2010 meeting. Ed Splittgerber made a motion to accept the
minutes as read. The motion was seconded and carried.
Treasurer Dale Parker gave the Treasurer’s
Report. David Piper made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report
as read. The motion was seconded and carried. Dale reported that he
had purchased 5 mower blades.
Roger Vaad groundskeeper gave a report on
the flying field. He stated he has mowed twice and the parking lot
once. Because of fuel cost it was suggested that he continue mowing
the field weekly and the parking area once or twice monthly as
needed.
OLD BUSINESS
Lynn Fehr gave a medical report on
President Larry Puls current condition. He is improving and has been
moved from ICU to Select Care. However, he had complications on the
ride over to Select Care. Therefore they transported him to Bergan
Mercy Hospital to their ICU. Lynn suggested club members might send
him cards.
NEW BUSINESS
Dale Parker stated he had to carry signed
blank checks since club rules require 2 signatures on each check.
Larry Puls is currently unable to make the second signature
required. Its possible secretary Lynn Fehr is listed as an
authorized signature. Dale Parker will check on this. A motion was
made that the Treasurer be allowed to sign with a single signature
on the club checks with a review of current club officers. Dave
Piper seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Officers shall review the monthly statement
and confirm by signing said statement monthly.
Dean Dingman reported that everything is on course for the Dawn
Patrol upcoming events.
With no further business Roger Vaad made a motion at 7:55 pm to
adjourn the meeting. Motion was seconded and carried.
SHOW AND TELL
Dave Piper was in a sharing and giving
mood. He brought a completed Gentle Lady Glider wing to give to
anyone who needs one. Don Dugan accepted it since he had a fuselage
but no wing for it. Also, he had a Cox .020 replacement tank. He
gave it to Lynn Fehr since he has a .020 that needs a new tank. Don
and Lynn thanked Dave for being so generous and sharing to help
others.
